Basic Arabic Grammar: Have, don't have, Had , Didn't have
Просмотров 9 тыс.3 года назад
This lesson teaches you the different ways to express " Have", "Don't have", "Had" and " Didn't Have" In Arabic, there is no verb that specifically expresses the concept “to have”. Instead, in the Arabic language, we take a preposition and add a personal ending. There are several variations to this way of expressing ‘have’, but the principle is always the same.

I love repeating beginner grammar the way you teach it. many, many thanks!
You're very welcome!
I love your videos but I strongly disagree with your opinion regarding yes/no with respect to case endings. For me it was a huge help in the beginning to know the case endings to understand the structure. also with lam+jussiv and lan+subjunctive or the negation command+jussif it all made only sense after I was taught the case endings. Of course, you do not need them for speaking but still it is an important help to understand Arabic. Also the idafa became easy after understanding the case endings. Especially in order to understand the written languagen case endings are a huge advantage :-) My mother language is German though. we have 4 cases, probably it is also a question of perspective as well.
Salam ustazah, i hope you don't mind i'm asking a question not related to this topic. The 2nd person plural jussive verbs تَعفوا، تصفحوا and تغفروا . I think it's all about asking some people to forgive other people sins or fault. But what's the exact translation of each one. Because i know arab words are very specific like in the quran. I can't differentiate between those 3 words. Would be very much appreciated for your reply bcoz only arab native speaker can give accurate answer. Thanks Ustazah
